Meet the Farmer

Most people say they were raised in the city or on a farm. Me? I was raised in a garden.
My name is Erica Mueller. I’m the oldest of eight children born to two green thumbs who excel at growing just about anything in any climate. My dad loves anything tropical, and my mom has a special gift for creating gorgeous landscapes. No matter where we lived, we always had a massive garden, orchard, and berry patch. And sometimes, bees and farm animals too.
I married another garden-raised kid, and together we’ve turned every space we’ve lived into a place we love, filled with plants, animals, and three amazing kids. One of our sons is grown now, the second is about to start his last year of high school, and our daughter, my biggest farm helper, is in her first year of school. We have 3 cats, a dog, and a handful of trouble-making chickens.
We’ve been in the Paris, TX area for 20 years, and we love it here!
Flower-Bombing the Town
Way back in 2020 (can you believe that was 6 years ago?), when COVID struck, and we were all ordered to social distance, my kids and I started sharing the blooms from our own backyard garden. At first, we made simple bouquets for friends and dropped them off. But the more we cut our zinnias and herbs, the more they bloomed, and soon we started asking Facebook friends to nominate people who could use a pick-me-up bouquet. Off we went with nothing more than an address and a jar of flowers. People we didn’t even know started donating jars and nominating friends, and by the time the lockdown ended, we’d delivered dozens of bouquets to total strangers.
The joy we found in sharing flowers influenced our decision to plant even more the following year, and for a few years, we gifted blooms weekly, sometimes a dozen or more bouquets a week.
A Flower Farm is Born
In 2024, a local, family-owned coffee shop where I worked 20 years ago reached out to ask if we might like to sell our bouquets in their shop. The same week, another vendor asked the same. And Mueller Farm was born.
Now, we really started our farm in 2017 when we moved to our four acres in northwest Lamar County. We brought chickens, started a veggie and herb garden, and, like my mama always did, we planted flowers for the bees. But planting to sell started in 2024, and in 2025, we celebrated our first year as true flower farmers, dedicating a portion of our pasture to rows of nothing but flowers.
That first year, we experimented with way too many varieties, succession planting, different watering and mulching techniques, and had way too much fun. 5 Weddings and more than 350 bouquets later, and we were hooked!
Grow with Us in 2026
For 2026 we’ll be doubling our growing space, adding several new varieties and looking to add new vendor locations for our customers. If you would like to stock our wrapped bouquets this summer, please contact us!
